Two-year-old boy dies after falling into church well during Sunday service in Ondo

 
The boy went to play with his friends when he fell into a well that was covered with weak planks.
A two-year-old boy, Feranmi Oladeji, on Sundayreportedly fell and died in a well located within the premises of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Iyinrere, Ayedun quarters, Akure, the Ondo State Capital.
Sources said the incident occurred during the church’s praise, worship and prayer session.
The boy left the church service and went out with his peers to play around the church building

His mother and other members of the congregation were said to be busy with the church programme when Feranmi reportedly stepped on the well covered with weak planks.
It was learnt that people around the vicinity quickly rushed into the church auditorium to inform his parents that he had fallen into the well.
Sympathizers, who trooped into the church from various directions, blamed the mother andelders of the church for abandoning children that attended the church.
When the boy was confirmed dead, some youthprotested and destroyed church property.
Both the pastor and other members of the church were said to have bolted out on sightingpolice who came from Okuta -Elerinla Police Division to investigate the death.
