500 Hunters To Search For Chibok Girls With Spiritual Powers – A well selected set of hunters
armed with magic charms are beginning to run out of patience on the way
the Nigerian government and security agents are handling the issue of Boko Haram and the kidnapped Chibok girls.The very experienced hunters armed with homemade guns, amulets, poisoned spears have assembled together in preparation for a spiritual search for the innocent girls kidnapped by the horror Boko Haram terrorists.
According to reports, 500 hunters, between the ages of 18 and 80,
disclosed that they had been selected by their colleagues for their spiritual hunting
skills and had been waiting for two weeks in Maiduguri, the Borno State
capital, just to get backing from the military and to get going.
The hunters who had with them cow horn trumpets,
where screaming, chanting and vibrating, twirling knives and swords with
skill, occasionally stabbing and cutting themselves with no obvious
harm, and they also said their magic charms prevented any blood being
drawn.
They hunters also trust their amulets of herbs and some other
substances wrapped in leather pouches as well as cowrie shells, animal
teeth and leather bracelets to protect them from bullet in the war.
Sarkin Baka, who spoke for the hunters said that they are not saying
they are better than the soldiers, but they know the bush better than
the soldiers.
The hunters also said the can no longer wait, adding that they are
seasoned hunters, with the bush as their culture and we that they have
the powers that resist guns and knives. The hunters said they were real
men of courage, and they trust in Allah for their protection, but they
are not afraid of Boko Haram in any way.
One of the hunters, Baban Kano, said if only government is ready to
support them, then they are more than capable of bringing back the
girls, and if the government would not support them, they should be
told, so they can disband and go back their respective our homes and
family.
However, military spokesman did not respond immediately to an emailed
question from newsmen on whether it would employ the hunters’ local
knowledge.
