The Nigerian Army has observed with dismay the illegal possession and fragrant abuse of phony military camouflage by the Boko Haram insurgents to unleash mayhem on unsuspecting members of the populace where they chose to operate. This trend is indeed worrisome hence the need to enlighten the general public to be cautious and report suspicious person, using illegal camouflage to relevant security agencies.

For the avoidance of doubt, the camouflage worn by Nigerian Army troops on operations in the northern part of the country is easily identifiable with a green mark while the fake camouflage worn by Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) is identifiable with a red mark as display
